Pakistan’s Information Minister, Attaullah Tarar, has announced that during Operation Ghazab, Pakistan has successfully targeted Afghan Taliban regime forces, claiming the lives of 481 personnel and leaving more than 696 injured. The Information Minister has released updated figures on the damage inflicted on the Afghan side during the operation.
According to Tarar, 226 checkpoints of the Afghan Taliban regime have been destroyed, while 35 have been taken into custody. Pakistan has successfully targeted the critical Bagram Airbase in Afghanistan, a key military installation. Additionally, 198 tanks, vehicles armed with guns, and artillery guns have been destroyed by Pakistan’s forces.
The Information Minister stated that a total of 56 locations in Afghanistan were effectively targeted through airstrikes during Operation Ghazab. It is worth noting that Operation Ghazab involves Pakistan’s military conducting effective ground and aerial operations against the Afghan Taliban and extremist elements.
In recent operations, Pakistan has successfully targeted the critical Bagram Airbase in Afghanistan. In other developments, the price of electricity for consumers across the country has increased by Rs 1.63 per unit. The Pakistan International Airlines has been granted permission to operate two daily flights to the United Arab Emirates.
In a separate development, Field Marshal Qamar Javed Bajwa was briefed on the security situation on the western border and Operation Ghazab. Sources revealed that the Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, held a meeting with parliamentary and political leaders, shedding light on the inner workings of the gathering.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Aamir Sheikh, expressed satisfaction with the operational performance of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Operation Nijat Mehran.
