Zimbabwe Women’s Cricket Team Arrives in Karachi for Historic Tour of Pakistan
In a significant development in the world of women’s cricket, the Zimbabwe Women’s Cricket Team has arrived in Karachi, marking the beginning of their historic tour of Pakistan. This is the first time a foreign women’s cricket team is visiting Pakistan, and the excitement is palpable among cricket enthusiasts in the country.
Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team Manager, Ayesha Ashar, welcomed the Zimbabwe Women’s Cricket Team upon their arrival in Karachi. The two teams will practice together at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi at 6:30 PM tonight. A three-match One-Day International (ODI) and T20I series will be played between the two teams, with the ODI matches scheduled to take place on 4, 6, and 9 May, and the T20I series set to begin on 12 May, with the second match on 14 May and the third match on 15 May. All matches will be played at the National Stadium in Karachi.
This historic tour comes after a long hiatus, as Pakistan has not hosted a foreign women’s cricket team since 1979, when the country played a single Test match against England at the Wankhede Stadium in Bombay.
