Pakistan’s National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has handed over assets worth over 2.26 billion Pakistani rupees, which were recovered through a plea bargain, to the Sindh government. Eight suspects have voluntarily paid over 90 crore rupees as part of the plea bargain under the NAB Law.
According to the NAB spokesperson, the assets include immovable properties, orchards, agricultural land, pay orders, and looted money. Deputy Chairman NAB stated that the recoveries were made during the proceedings of a reference in the Sindh Secretariat. The plea bargain process is a legal procedure that requires the authority and court’s approval.
Eight suspects voluntarily paid a total of 90 crore 18 lakh 20 thousand 227 rupees under the plea bargain. The assets also include agricultural land, orange and lemon orchards, and financial documents located in various districts.
The government has initiated the distribution of relief funds to public transport and vehicle owners through digital wallets.
