Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders are reportedly unhappy with Mardan rally, which was scheduled on the insistence of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Suhail Anwar Ahmad Khan. The event’s date was fixed by the provincial government.
PTI’s leader Mahmood Achakzai expressed reservations about participating in the rally, which has been opposed by several senior party leaders. According to sources, PTI’s party chief has delegated the authority of the rally to Achakzai, who was called by party workers to join the event.
However, Mahmood Achakzai has yet to confirm his participation. Provincial Minister Mina Khan Bhatti said that all matters related to the rally will be discussed in consultation with Mahmood Achakzai.
Meanwhile, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has recovered 1.45 billion Iranian Rials from a suspect arrested in Karachi. The FIA has also confirmed that a phone call was made between the Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and the Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan, Sardar Asif Hashimi.
