Karachi: A police officer lost his life in a shootout with suspects in Karachi’s Mauripur area on Tuesday evening. According to DSP Saeed Ghoto, the unfortunate incident took place near Mauripur area where police stopped a suspicious vehicle. The suspects, however, opened fire on the police officer, leaving him critically injured. The officer, identified as Abdul Manan, was a constable of the SITE Super Highway police station. Following the incident, police apprehended two suspects from the SITE Super Highway area and recovered a gun, a charred vehicle, and a gutka from the suspects’ vehicle.
