The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that Field Marshal Asim Munir met with Iranian President Dr. Ebrahim Raisi, Speaker of the Parliament Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian. The meetings focused on establishing durable peace in the region and discussing the security situation.
In a significant development, Field Marshal Asim Munir expressed gratitude to the Iranian leadership and people for their warm hospitality. He also conveyed the best wishes of Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, and people to the Iranian leadership.
The visit is seen as a reflection of Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to resolving the Middle East conflict through peaceful means. Field Marshal Asim Munir was accompanied by Federal Minister for Interior, Mohsin Nawaz Ranjha, during the three-day visit.
In a separate incident, a rescue operation was conducted after a person was injured in a shooting incident. The injured individual was shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.
