Pakistani batter Sahibzada Farhan has secured the trust of Islamabad United for the upcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) after delivering a stellar performance in the National T20 Cup.
According to reports, United has awarded him a contract for the tenth edition of the domestic marquee tournament. Farhan was selected by United in the supplementary category.
Farhan will be the 20th player in the United squad.
Former New Zealand head coach Mike Hesson, who serves as the head coach of United, stated, “Players like Sahibzada Farhan can become part of the playing XI at any time.”
Hesson praised the United management for backing domestic performers, saying, “United has consistently provided opportunities to talented domestic cricketers.”
Sahibzada Farhan enjoyed a prolific run with the bat, amassing 605 runs at an impressive average of 121.
Farhan expressed his gratitude to United for including him in their squad.
“It is an honor to play for Islamabad United,” Farhan affirmed.
