In addition to recognizing the year’s best music, the ceremony will also honor legends with Lifetime Achievement Awards, including Taj Mahal, The Clash, Frankie Beverly, Dr. Bobby Jones, Prince, Roxanne Shante, and Frankie Valli. Other special honorees include Erroll Garner, Glyn Johns, and Tania León as Trustees of the Year, with Dr. Leo Beranek receiving the Technical Grammy. These awards will be presented on February 1, 2025, during a special event.

This year’s Grammys take on added significance due to the devastating California wildfires. Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. and Board Chair Tammy Hurt emphasized the importance of supporting wildfire relief efforts, calling it a “renewed sense of purpose.” Proceeds from the event will assist relief efforts and honor first responders.
