Imran Khan, the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has undergone a successful eye surgery at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad. According to a press release issued by the PIMS administration, Imran Khan was admitted to the hospital on April 28 for a follow-up treatment of his eye condition. He was administered the fourth dose of Anti-Viral Eye Gel Injection.
The PIMS administration stated that Imran Khan’s consent was obtained before the medical procedure, and experts in the field of ophthalmology conducted a thorough examination. The patient was found to be clinically stable, and the optical coherence tomography (OCT) scan showed significant improvement in his eye condition. The surgery was performed under the complete awareness and consent of the patient, with standard medical care and follow-up instructions.
In a separate development, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has waived the license requirement for solar users with a capacity of 25 kW or less. Meanwhile, PTI’s Vice Chairman, Alimma Khanum, has demanded that Imran Khan’s medical test and treatment be conducted in the presence of his family members.
In other news, the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Umar Ata Bandial, has been appointed as the head of the Judicial Commission, which has completed its first meeting. The commission has approved the transfer of Justice Munib Akhtar from the Sindh High Court to the Lahore High Court.
The Pakistan Army’s Public Relations Department (ISPR) has stated that the country’s missile defense system is equipped with advanced Avionics and navigation technology. The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has reported a shortage of 120 million gallons of water in the city, out of a total of 650 million gallons.
