In a recent statement marking the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhatti, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari emphasized the significance of justice and fairness in the case. Zardari further stated that the case was reopened after General Zia’s martial law and that he pays tribute to the democratic struggle led by former Prime Minister Benazir Bhatti.
