Qatar has arrested 313 individuals for spreading misinformation, with the Ministry of Interior stating that they were detained by a cybercrime prevention agency for spreading rumors and false information. The agency claims that the individuals produced unauthorized video content and shared it on social media, violating official guidelines.
The Ministry of Interior has appealed to the public to rely solely on official sources for information and not to share any content that may contain misleading information. This comes as Israel continues to face international criticism for its actions, with the Israeli media reporting that a group of passengers were detained at Ben Gurion Airport after they were suspected of planning to leave the country.
The US has also been at the center of international attention, with the US Tomahawk cruise missile striking an Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps naval base near a school. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the goal of the attack was to cripple Iran’s missile program.
Meanwhile, Iranian officials have reported that the US and Israeli strikes have killed 1,255 people and injured over 12,000 in Iran. US President Donald Trump has stated that the removal of Iran’s nuclear threat will lead to a rapid decline in oil prices, which he believes is a small price to pay for the US and global peace and security.
As tensions continue to rise, the global oil market is experiencing a significant shift, with Brent crude prices reaching $117 per barrel. The G7 nations have been actively working to stabilize the oil market, with Saudi Arabia condemning Iranian aggression against the kingdom and other Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
In a separate development, the UAE has reported that a military helicopter crashed, killing two Emirati military personnel. The helicopter was operating in the Dubai area when it experienced a technical malfunction.
The International Cricket Council has announced the team of the tournament for the 2026 T20 World Cup, with Pakistan’s Hasan Ali topping the list.
