Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned Iran’s attacks on Gulf countries, stating that the kingdom, along with other Gulf Cooperation Council countries and friendly states, rejects any attacks on their territories. The Saudi Foreign Ministry emphasized that the Iranian actions cannot be justified or accepted in any form. The recent Israeli airstrikes on 30 Iranian oil storage facilities in Iran have escalated tensions between the US and Israel, while Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense claims to have foiled an Iranian drone attack in the Juffair region.
Meanwhile, a fire broke out in the Al-Fujairah Oil Industry Zone in the United Arab Emirates, reportedly due to a drone crash. However, the industrial activities in the zone were not affected. In a statement on social media platform X, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said, “You will not make us retreat, not even one step back.” The Israeli media reported that a riot broke out at the Ben Gurion Airport, where Israeli passengers were detained before boarding flights.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the purpose of the US airstrikes on Iran was to destroy its missile program. According to a statement by the spokesman of the Hezbollah Brigades, a total of 20 fuel and gas storage tanks, American helicopters, logistics, and support equipment were destroyed in the attack. During the 9-day conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran, the death toll in various countries stood at 1,255 Iranian civilians, with more than 12,000 injured.
US President Donald Trump said that after the elimination of Iran’s nuclear threat, oil prices will rapidly decline, which will be a “small price to pay” for the US and global peace and security. Meanwhile, Brent and WTI crude oil prices surged to $117 per barrel, prompting the G7 countries to intervene in the oil price crisis.
Saudi Arabia has condemned Iran’s aggression against the kingdom and other Gulf Cooperation Council countries, with the government deciding to block 60% of government vehicles. In a separate development, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the team of the tournament for the 2026 T20 World Cup, with Pakistan’s Shahbaz Ahmed topping the list.
However, a British newspaper has reported that US President Trump’s military strategy in Iran, modeled after Venezuela, has failed. Trump had seen the appointment of Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez as the new leader as an effective model.
