In a shocking turn of events, a 27-year-old welder from the Indian state of Karnataka was brutally murdered by his close friend, who had conspired to kill him over a sum of Rs 2.5 lakh. The accused, who had been friends with the victim for the past seven years, had lured him to a forest area under the pretext of attending a gold auction organized by a finance company. On February 19, the accused had called the victim to his home, claiming that he needed his help to participate in the auction. The victim, who was carrying around Rs 2.5 lakh in cash, left his home at around 11 am.
According to the police, the accused took the victim to a forest area on a motorbike, where he allegedly used a sharp knife to kill him. The accused then fled the scene with the stolen cash. The next morning, a milk vendor stumbled upon the victim’s lifeless body while passing through the forest area and informed the police, who subsequently registered a case and launched an investigation.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused had not only murdered the victim but had also spent the stolen money on his ex-wife. The accused had given her Rs 60,000 in cash and even purchased a new TV for her. The police have since arrested the accused and are conducting further investigations.
