Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that the country’s armed forces are always ready to defend the nation’s security, and they will not allow any aggression to disrupt the country’s peace and stability. The prime minister emphasized that the armed forces possess the capability to counter any aggressive intentions, and they are performing their duties with dedication and passion under the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir.
According to a statement released by the Ministry of Information, the Afghan Taliban regime has misinterpreted the situation and resorted to unprovoked firing at multiple locations. The prime minister further stated that the nation’s defense will not be compromised, and any aggression will be met with a decisive response. Pakistan has been conducting Operation Ghaazb-e-Haqq (Operation Righteous Anger) along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border against the Taliban regime’s unprovoked actions. The operation has targeted Taliban regime’s posts, with 58 foreign terrorists killed, over 100 wounded, 12 posts completely destroyed, and 5 posts captured.
In other news, the Education Minister of Sindh, Sardar Ali Shah, presided over a steering committee meeting on February 12, 2026, which approved the schedule for the academic year 2026-2027, including the admission schedule, examinations, and holidays. Pakistan’s Vice Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Ishaq Dar, has contacted the Saudi and Turkish foreign ministers. After consultation, the opposition alliance has initiated contact with the government for negotiations.
A meeting between opposition leader Mahmood Achakzai and Rana Sanaullah took place at the Parliament House, where they discussed the country’s political situation.
