The Punjab government has accused the opposition of launching a smear campaign against Chief Minister Marriyum Nusrat. According to sources, the social media campaign against the CM is being orchestrated by the social media brigade of the Fatah-e-Islami faction.
In a video message, Provincial Minister Azma Bokhari claimed that the so-called YouTubers behind the smear campaign are the main culprits, and when any action is taken against them, it is labeled as political victimization or an attempt to curb freedom of expression. The CM and her son-in-law, Janid Safdar, have been in the spotlight on social media following their wedding.
Azma Bokhari said that Marriyum Nusrat has been facing a smear campaign since 2014, but she is still serving the people of Punjab. The Provincial Minister stated that they will engage in politics as they are politicians, but she questioned why other ministers use rickshaws, while the CM of Fatah-e-Islami, with a prime ministerial salary of 55 rupees per kilometer, operated a shuttle service using sandbags.
In another incident, a gas cylinder explosion occurred in Chamman, Torpul area, resulting in the death of five children. The police confirmed that the bodies of the children were recovered from the rubble. The gas cylinder explosion caused multiple rooms in the house to collapse.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan stated that Alimma Khan wanted a name for the party, and he chose that name. According to sources, this decision was made during a consultative meeting of the opposition alliance in Islamabad, which included Maulana Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Allama Naser Abbas, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, and Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar.

According to sources, a student had attempted to take her life a few days ago by consuming sleeping pills. She is married and had stored the pills at home. A post-mortem report stated that six pills were ingested by the student on different parts of her body.
In another incident, five children died in Ghotki after drinking pesticide. According to the health department, the deaths occurred over three days in the village of Allah Baksh Chhajan.
