A significant breakthrough has been reported in the murder case of Lady Doctor Mehwish in Kohat, with the police identifying key suspects. Speaking to the media, DPO Kohat Shabaz Elahi confirmed that following the identification of suspects, raids were conducted at various locations, and checking posts were set up at city entry and exit points. The DPO assured that Mehwish’s family would be provided with all possible justice.
According to the medical superintendent of DHQ Hospital, Dr. Mehwish had a dispute with a patient’s husband, who was handed over to the police on duty at the hospital. It is alleged that Dr. Mehwish was fired upon and killed while leaving the hospital two days ago. In a related development, a meeting of the ECNA was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Finance, Miftah Ismail, with a joint statement issued after the meeting.
