A group of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmakers held a protest outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan, demanding the registration of cases against PTI’s founder Imran Khan and a meeting with the government. The protesters also demanded a medical examination of Imran Khan’s personal doctors.
The protest was attended by opposition leader Senator Raja Nisar Abbas, Salman Akram Raja, Amir Dogar, Shahid Jan, Muhammad Hussain, Shahid Khatak, and other assembly members.
Speaking to the media outside the Supreme Court, PTI leader Salman Akram Raja said, “I went to meet the registrar of the Supreme Court, but the meeting did not take place, the registrar’s number is also blocked, parliamentarians are protesting outside the Supreme Court for justice.”
Raja added, “We are outside the Supreme Court because we want our cases to be registered and justice to be served.”
Meanwhile, Adviser to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information, Shahid Jan, said that the cases against Imran Khan will be expedited for hearing.
“We will stay outside the Supreme Court until Imran Khan’s cases are decided,” Jan added.
In a separate development, Sindh Minister for Universities, Ismail Rahoo, has said that university exams should not be held during holidays, including Easter.
In a statement, the Minister said, “Exams should not be held during Easter, so as not to burden students.”
In another development, the Islamabad police have registered a case against an official’s nephew for allegedly harassing a woman.
The case was registered on a complaint by the woman who alleged that the accused had harassed her.
In a statement, the police said that the accused had fled the scene after the incident.
In a separate incident, a medical board comprising doctors from Peshawar’s Cardiology Hospital has been formed to examine the health of Imran Khan.
The board has been asked to submit its report by March 9.
In a separate development, the Punjab Assembly has passed 169 bills in the last two years, with 144 bills being approved.

The incident took place when the youth was attending prayers at the mosque.
