Sindh Assembly Leader Ali Khurshid Blasts PPP for Siding with PTI
Karachi: Sindh Assembly opposition leader Ali Khurshid has made a scathing attack on the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) for aligning with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Speaking to the press during a press conference at the Sindh Assembly, Khurshid stated that the PPP and PTI have similar stances on the issue of handing over Karachi to the federation. He added that the PPP should have taken a broader approach and stood as a national party, rather than aligning with the PTI.
The Sindh Assembly leader also criticized the PTI for its stance on the issue, stating that the party’s actions are a threat to the unity of the country. Khurshid further added that the PTI’s actions are a reflection of its narrow-minded approach, which is detrimental to the country.
The opposition leader also criticized the PPP for its handling of the Karachi issue, stating that the party’s actions are a betrayal of the people of Sindh. Khurshid added that the PPP’s stance on the issue is a result of its narrow-minded approach, which is focused on gaining power rather than serving the people of Sindh.
The Sindh Assembly leader’s comments come as the PPP and PTI continue to engage in a war of words over the issue of handing over Karachi to the federation. The PTI has been demanding that the city be handed over to the federation, while the PPP has been opposing the move.
In a separate development, the Punjab Health Care Commission has launched an investigation into the recent scandal involving a young girl who was allegedly subjected to physical abuse. The commission has reportedly seized properties worth millions of rupees from the accused individuals.
Meanwhile, opposition alliance Tahreek-e-Talaffuz-e-Ain Pakistan’s leaders addressed a press conference in Islamabad, criticizing the government’s economic policies. PTI leader and former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa finance minister Timur Salim Jhagra stated that the government’s claims of improving the economy are baseless.
Former information minister Khawaja Asif also criticized the government’s economic policies, stating that the country’s economy is in shambles. He added that the government’s actions are a reflection of its narrow-minded approach, which is focused on gaining power rather than serving the people.
TTFAP leader Hafiz Taahir Mahmood Ashrafi stated that if Afghanistan continues to harbor terrorists, Pakistan will be forced to take action. He added that Pakistan is committed to maintaining peace and stability in the region.
