Meeting with Army Chief Focused on Law and Order, Says PTI Chairman
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar has claimed that some individuals are attempting to create divisions between his party and the establishment.
Speaking on Geo News’ “Capital Talk,” Gohar revealed that he, along with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, recently met Army Chief General Asim Munir in Peshawar.
He emphasized that the meeting focused solely on maintaining law and order, dismissing claims of any discord.
Gohar termed direct negotiations with the establishment as a positive step and confirmed that the PTI founder and KP chief minister also acknowledged the meeting.
Reacting to PM’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah’s remarks, Gohar expressed disappointment, saying: “Our demands are simple: a judicial commission and the release of detainees.”
He further added, “2025 will be a year of change, and the PTI founder will return to lead from the front.”
