LONDON: A Texas hedge fund manager and business partner of the Trump family, Gentry Beach, has lauded Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war on terror, advising President-elect Donald Trump to strengthen Pakistan-US relations more than ever before.
Gentry Beach, a close ally of the Trump family and involved in both of Trump’s election campaigns, made these remarks at the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast held at Mar-a-Lago in the presence of key Trump aides, donors, and supporters. Video footage obtained by Geo News shows Beach recounting his recent visit to “an amazing place called Pakistan.”
President-elect Trump, senior Republicans, business leaders, and his team applauded as Beach delivered a passionate speech in defense of Pakistan.
In the video, Beach stated: “This past week, I had the privilege of visiting an amazing country, Pakistan—a country I had never been to before. Let me tell you, it is a very pro-Trump, pro-family environment where people want to raise their kids and be good people.
“These people have sacrificed so much for America. They were literally on the front lines in that part of the world and have lost tens of thousands of lives to terrorism, just like Israel faces challenges daily. All they want is peace.”
Gentry Beach said his conversations with Pakistani leaders revealed their strong interest in working with America as equal partners and close allies.
He described Pakistan as a misunderstood country and condemned President Joe Biden’s administration for imposing sanctions on some Pakistani companies.
“It’s a totally misunderstood place in the world, and these are the things we need to fix. Unfortunately, the previous administration burned every possible bridge. Recently, they even imposed sanctions on someone who’s our ally—someone who has done good things for us,” he said.
Beach added, “Joe Biden’s team told them they were worried they could put a missile in Washington, DC. They looked at me and said, ‘Do you believe this? We would never do such a thing to America.’”
To applause from the audience, Beach stated: “Pakistan is the kind of place where we need to build strong bridges. We need to work together and create value for the entire world. This shows what went wrong with the previous administration and how we need to fix it under President Trump’s leadership.”
Gentry Beach recently visited Pakistan, where he held extensive discussions with the country’s senior leadership.
Sources reveal that Beach has committed to bringing billions of dollars in foreign direct investment to Pakistan in strategic sectors, including rare earth minerals, oil and gas exploration, IT, education, and infrastructure.
