Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has warned that if the issue of the Madrassa Act continues to linger, it will be decided “in the field.” He cautioned the government to take this matter seriously or face inevitable public protests.
Fazlur Rehman emphasized that any legislation concerning religious seminaries must involve consultation with stakeholders. Ignoring this matter, he added, could lead to significant challenges for the government. He reiterated that madrassas are serving the cause of Islam, and any action against them will not be tolerated.
