Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarar stated that every country is speaking positively about Pakistan. He highlighted the recent visit of Iran’s late President Ebrahim Raisi and mentioned that a high-level Saudi delegation had also visited the country prior to that.
During a press conference in Islamabad, he noted that Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s visit to Pakistan was successful, emphasizing the brotherly relations between Malaysia and Pakistan. He asserted that visits from global leaders would strengthen the economy.
Atta Tarar expressed gratitude towards Turkey’s President, who, during a formal meeting with the Prime Minister in New York, remarked on the improving state of Pakistan’s economy.
He pointed out that the arrival of foreign delegations is a positive sign for the country, as it leads to investment announcements and promotes trade. He also mentioned the possibility of another high-level Saudi delegation visiting soon.
Furthermore, he highlighted the significance of Pakistan hosting the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, which will see the participation of leaders from 12 countries, marking a major event in Pakistan after several decades.
The federal minister stated that extensive preparations are underway, with Islamabad being adorned for the occasion. He mentioned that whenever foreign delegations arrive, they are presented with a positive image of Pakistan.
He added that these visitors are informed about the country’s vast potential, indicating that foreign policy successes are ongoing and that relations with Malaysia are progressing smoothly.

Discussing the United Nations General Assembly, he praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for effectively advocating for the rights of Palestinians and Kashmiris, noting that the world acknowledges his efforts.
He mentioned that the Prime Minister made three commitments to the nation, including tax reforms and the digitization of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). He emphasized that tax compliance has significantly improved, with the number of tax filers doubling, which will ultimately benefit the economy.
Atta Tarar concluded by stating that new records are being set daily in the stock exchange, and it is widely recognized that inflation has decreased to 6.9%, down from 32% last year. He also highlighted the increase in exports and a reduction in the trade deficit.
