Karachi: Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, the Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, has demanded the issuance of a notification for the appointment of Justice Mansoor Ali Shah as Chief Justice.
In his statement, he noted that the notification for Qazi Faez Isa’s appointment as Chief Justice was issued three months ago. He emphasized that the people of Pakistan wish for Justice Mansoor Ali Shah’s appointment in accordance with the constitution and the law, insisting that the individual next in line should be appointed as per constitutional provisions.
Hafiz Naeem expressed concerns about attempts to create a constitutional crisis in Pakistan, firmly rejecting any proposed constitutional amendments that could disrupt the process.
