Army Chief General Asim Munir stated that the Pakistan Army will continue to thwart the nefarious designs of enemy forces and their facilitators, while also providing ongoing support and technical assistance to law enforcement agencies, particularly the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Asim Munir visited Wana in South Waziristan, where he received a comprehensive briefing on the current security situation, ongoing counter-terrorism operations, and developmental projects.
During his discussions with officers and soldiers, the Army Chief praised the high level of readiness and extraordinary morale in facing threats from enemies of the state. He assured that the Pakistan Army would persist in foiling the sinister intentions of adversaries and their collaborators.
General Munir paid heartfelt tribute to security forces and law enforcement agencies who have sacrificed their lives while fulfilling their duties. He emphasized that the Pakistan Army would continue to provide ongoing support and technical assistance to enhance the capacity of law enforcement agencies, especially the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police.
He acknowledged the role of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in maintaining peace and completing various projects under the South Waziristan Integrated Development Plan, stating that the Pakistan Army would leverage its resources for the prosperity and development of the region.
The Army Chief expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of tribal elders in the fight against terrorism and reiterated the Pakistan Army’s steadfast commitment to collaboration.
Upon his arrival in Wana, the Commander Peshawar Corps warmly welcomed the Chief of Army Staff, who paid his respects to the martyrs by laying a floral wreath at the martyrs’ memorial.
