CHANNELVIEW, Texas (KTRK) — An investigation is underway after two men were found dead in a trailer on Sunday morning in the Channelview area, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Units from Channelview EMS responded to the 16000 block of John and found two victims deceased at the scene.
The two men had been using a generator, not due to a power outage, but to power a trailer that was being prepared for occupancy.
Preliminary information suggests that one man appeared to have fallen asleep, while the other seemed to have collapsed. Officials reported extremely high levels of carbon monoxide at the scene.
Hazmat teams responded, and an investigation is ongoing. No foul play is suspected at this time.
