Authorities in Houston are currently on the hunt for a suspect captured on surveillance footage allegedly opening fire and injuring an individual in southwest Houston.
The incident took place at the intersection of Club Creek and Woodfair Drive near the Pradera Townhomes, specifically in the 9800 block.
According to Lt. Wilkins of the Houston Police Department, the victim was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso shortly after 1 a.m. on Saturday.
Investigators reviewed surveillance footage which purportedly showed a white sedan circling the area before gunfire erupted from the vehicle, resulting in the victim’s fatal injuries.
Police recovered several pistol rounds at the crime scene, and they noted that the vicinity where the shooting occurred is recognized for prostitution activities.
Homicide detectives were present at the scene, though the motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
Authorities stated that the victim’s identity is yet to be determined, with the medical examiner’s office actively involved in the investigation.
