HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Enjoy the mild temperatures, because a big cool down is coming this weekend!
Thursday will start off cool and clear with temperatures in the low to mid 40s. Patchy fog will be a possibility for parts of SE Texas but it won’t be widespread. With more sunshine on tap Thursday afternoon temperatures should warm in the 70s.
A strong cold front moves in Saturday morning bringing a chance for a few showers, cold temperatures, and windy conditions!
The National Weather Service Houston confirmed a total of seven tornadoes touched down Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. They were reported in Humble, Kingwood, Montgomery, near IAH Airport, Dayton, and in Spring Branch.

Our next cold front moves in Saturday morning. Ahead of the front, we could see a few scattered showers but once that front moves through, dry air will quickly filter in. The air behind the front will also be cold and breezy!

Right now it looks like a runner’s delight! It will be chilly at the start of the race with lows in the mid 30s. It will be a bit breezy though so wind chill values will be even colder… around 29 degrees here in Houston. Afternoon highs will warm into the 50s under partly to mostly sunny skies.
