HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Our active weather pattern that brought parts of the area strong storms and tornadoes is being replaced with dry, breezy, and cool weather for a few days.
The National Weather Service Houston confirmed a total of five tornadoes touched down Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. They were reported in Humble, Kingwood, Montgomery, near IAH Airport, and Montgomery.
Is there any more rain coming?
Outside of an isolated light shower Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, it’ll be dry through the work week.
How cold will it get behind the cold front?
It should cool off into the middle 40s overnight, and stay in the 50s Monday afternoon. There will be a stiff, cool breeze blowing all day. Tuesday morning will be our coldest from this front with widespread lows in the 30s.
What is the weather outlook for the Chevron Houston Marathon?
Right now it looks like a runner’s delight! It will be chilly at the start of the race with lows in the 40s. Afternoon highs will warm into the 50s, and there’s only a 20% chance of light shower.
