PESHAWAR: Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) (JUI-F), has advised US President Donald Trump to learn diplomatic etiquette. Maulana Fazlur Rehman addressed the condolence reference held in the memory of renowned poet Syed Salman Gilani, who passed away recently, under the banner of JUI-F Punjab. The event was also attended by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique.
Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Montazeri also endorsed the stance of Maulana Fazlur Rehman. Other notable attendees of the event included Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) General Secretary Maulana Abdul Ghaffar Hydari, and Maulana Allah Wasaya, among others.
In his address, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that US President Donald Trump’s style of speaking is not worthy of a local thug. He suggested that Trump should first learn the art of diplomacy and dialogue before engaging in any further discussions.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman also stated that it has been proven that Pakistan has the ability to resolve global issues. He emphasized that instead of clashing with the ruling elite, the country’s religious parties, like JUI-F, should work together to strengthen Pakistan’s position as a mediator in the world.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman also criticized US President Donald Trump for his contradictory stance, saying that while he engages in talks, he also issues threats. He also pointed out that the ruling elite should be held accountable for their actions, rather than being shielded from criticism.
The JUI-F chief also clarified that the party had delayed its anti-inflation protests, not cancelled them, following a request from the government. However, the government’s decision to lift the subsidies on food items has only exacerbated the situation, he added.
In a separate development, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has announced a ban on the sale of wheat, effective immediately. Meanwhile, a telephonic conversation between Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has been reported.
Federal Minister for Railways, Muhammad Azam Khan Swati, has announced plans to establish a railway track between Pakistan and Iran in the near future. The Punjab government has submitted a report to the provincial assembly regarding the transfer of patients due to the air ambulance service.

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NACIA) has conducted a raid on an unlicensed call center in Baloch Colony.
