Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has met with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, in Ankara, accompanied by Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi. The Prime Minister is scheduled to participate in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum today. Sharif described participating in the forum and meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as a source of joy.
Prior to this, the Prime Minister met with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha, discussing the situation in the Gulf region. Both leaders emphasized the importance of reducing tensions and pursuing negotiations for peace and stability.
In a separate development, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has paid a total of 38 billion rupees in price differential claims to oil marketing companies. The Karachi Airport Authority has announced that regular Hajj flights will begin today. The first Hajj flight from Karachi will depart at 3:00 am, with Governor Sindh Nihal Hashwani bidding farewell to the pilgrims.
