Islamabad, Pakistan – A significant breakthrough has been achieved in the ongoing US-Iran talks, which are being held in Islamabad with Pakistan’s facilitation. Despite some differences, Iran has announced that it will continue the negotiations. A statement released on social media platform X by Iran’s government stated that although some differences remain, the talks will continue.
Iran’s government announced that the US-Iran talks, which lasted for 14 hours, have concluded, with both countries’ technical teams exchanging documents. A senior Iranian government official stated that despite some differences, the talks will continue. The talks will resume on Sunday, as agreed upon by Pakistan’s initiative and the negotiation teams of both countries.
According to Iranian media, the talks in Islamabad were conducted with high intensity, and some progress has been made. The US and Iranian delegations met separately with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif before the talks, discussing regional and global peace issues.
Meanwhile, a citizen in Islamabad expressed concerns about traffic congestion on various roads in the city. The citizen stated that the roads leading to Muree were blocked, and traffic was being diverted to the Expressway. In Karachi, a minor girl who went missing from the SITE area was found in the Korangi Shah Faisal area.
In other news, a medical college lecturer was arrested for allegedly kidnapping a minor girl from the Baldia Town area. The girl was found safe at a private hospital. The Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad announced that all business activities, including markets and shops, could continue as usual. Senior police officials were also present in the field, overseeing security arrangements.
In North Waziristan, residents are being forced to cross the river using a makeshift bridge due to flooding. In Jhang, a school built in 2014 remains unfinished, with female students unable to attend classes.
In Karachi, the temperature reached 23.3 degrees Celsius, a new record low. Former US President Donald Trump stated on social media that his meeting with Iran began early in the morning and lasted for almost 20 hours, during which some significant points were discussed.
Trump announced on social media that the most critical issue was the nuclear agreement, which was not reached. He stated that the meeting with Iran was productive, with many points of agreement reached, but the nuclear issue remained a sticking point.
