Bollywood director Rohit Shetty’s team has issued a statement clarifying the alleged unauthorized police stickers placed on his personal vehicles. According to Indian media reports, Rohit Shetty may face legal action due to the possible placement of police stickers on two of his cars. Rohit Shetty’s spokesperson has stated that the stickers were placed on January 31, 2026, after an incident of firing at the director’s residence in Mumbai. Police claim that the arrested individuals have links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In a statement issued by Rohit Shetty’s team, it is stated that after the firing incident at the director’s residence, the police took stringent security measures and provided protection to him. Initially, identification stickers were placed, which have since been removed. The spokesperson further stated that Rohit Shetty is still under police security and two personnel have been assigned to ensure his safety, while thanking the Mumbai police for their cooperation. Earlier, Indian media reports claimed that police stickers were placed on Rohit Shetty’s cars without permission. According to reports, a regional transport office official stated that under the Motor Vehicles Act 1988 (amended in 2019), it is not permissible to place a police sticker, logo, or sign on a private vehicle. Five shots were fired at Rohit Shetty’s residence in Juhu on the day of the incident. Investigations by the Mumbai crime branch revealed that the vehicle used in the attack was purchased from Pune.
