UAE Denies Reports of Iranian Attack on Oracle Data Center in Dubai
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) government has categorically rejected reports of an Iranian attack on the American technology company Oracle’s data center in Dubai. The Dubai Government Media Office stated through a social media platform that the information regarding the alleged attack or attempt by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard is baseless and misleading. The Dubai authorities have warned the public to refrain from spreading unverified news on social media and rely only on official sources, especially in the context of the region’s tense situation.
The statement came after the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced plans to target American tech companies, including Oracle. The UAE authorities emphasized that there has been no confirmation of any attack or damage in the city and that the circulating news is not based on fact. Meanwhile, a White House response emerged following the Iranian government’s announcement.
The Iranian media reported that the Revolutionary Guard had targeted Oracle’s data center in Dubai and Amazon’s cloud center in Bahrain. According to Iranian officials, the operations were a response to US and Israeli attacks on Iran, and Tehran had identified several American technology companies as potential targets.
On the other hand, the Dubai authorities stated that there has been no confirmation of any attack or damage in the city, and the circulating news is not based on fact. Social media users have expressed concern about the civilian casualties, particularly children, in recent military operations and have called for transparent investigations into these incidents.
In a separate development, the Iranian embassy in South Africa tweeted, “Regime change achieved, US made great, #byebyeTrump.” The tweet included a meme created to mock US President Donald Trump. In a statement, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said, “We will have full control over our airspace.” The Iranian authorities have also announced that they have taken into custody Hamideh Suleimani and her daughter after their green card was revoked.
A writer noted that Pakistan has maintained relations with China, with US President Trump preferring Pakistan’s Field Marshal as a mediator, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi facing diplomatic setbacks. Iranian officials have announced that they will focus on targeting American military bases and interests in the region, and that regional security is in the interest of the countries in the region.
