Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Amir Dogar says that there is no truth to the reports of PTI members contacting the Speaker. In a conversation with Geo News, Amir Dogar said that I just met with the Speaker and we reiterated our previous demands, telling the Speaker to remove all objections and appoint an opposition leader, adding that the cases against Omar Ayub have been withdrawn. Amir Dogar said that we have made it clear that the name of Mahmood Khan Achakzai was given by PTI’s founder and the party, and the Speaker’s letters are answered with counter-letters. He said that the process of appointing an opposition leader has been stalled due to the exchange of letters. Amir Dogar said that PTI members are ready to get their signatures checked by being called, and PTI members are ready to be a part of every process. The DG ISPR will address a press conference on security situation and other matters.
