According to foreign media, Araghchi said that Iran has proposed new peace plans through Pakistan. In a phone call with foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, Iraq, and Azerbaijan, Araghchi stated that Iran is willing to maintain diplomatic channels.
Araghchi mentioned that the cost of war is four times the claimed amount, and that Pakistan is the official mediator in the negotiations. He also stated that the decision to hold talks will be announced officially once made.
