Islamabad, Pakistan – In a significant development, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has granted permission to fans to attend the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 final match in Lahore. The decision was made after Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Rameez Raja requested the Prime Minister to allow fans to attend the match.
Rameez Raja stated that the Prime Minister also wanted fans to be allowed to attend the final match, and on the request of the franchise owners, the Prime Minister has given permission for fans to attend the final match. The PCB Chairman also appreciated the Prime Minister’s decision, saying that it is a step in the right direction.
Islamabad United’s team has become the third team to qualify for the play-offs after defeating Hyderabad Kings in the 38th match of the PSL 11 season. The match was played at the Qaddafi Stadium in Lahore, where Karachi Kings chased down 196 runs in just 18.3 overs.
In other news, former Nigerian footballer Michael Eneramo passed away during a friendly match. According to British media, Eneramo was 40 years old and died of a heart attack. The Nigerian Football Federation has confirmed his death.
Sahil Tanvir, the bowling coach of Quetta Gladiators, said that they could not play like a unit to win the match. Meanwhile, Islamabad United’s young batsman Musa Rehman scored 42 runs in an innings, while Samar Manhas scored 27 runs and remained not out.
In the PSL 11 season, Peshawar Zalmi has qualified for the play-offs with 17 points, while Multan Sultans has qualified with 12 points.
In the Asian Beach Games, Pakistani sprinters Faiqah Rehman and Saeedullah have qualified for the finals of the 60-meter race. Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian will visit Pakistan after visiting Oman.
