In a concerted effort to maintain law and order, the Islamabad Police conducted grand combining search operations across the city. The operations, which included Thanarol, Khan, Abpara, Shams Colony, Sambal, Sahala, and Shahzad Town, saw a total of 802 individuals and 406 homes checked. In addition, 115 shops and 26 hotels were inspected. The police also conducted a thorough examination of 276 motorbikes and 106 cars. As a result, 17 suspicious individuals, one car, and 36 motorbikes were moved to relevant police stations for further investigation.
Senior police officers were on the ground, overseeing the security arrangements and inspecting the scene. During the operation, the police also recovered two firearms along with their ammunition while arresting individuals involved in illegal arms possession. Furthermore, 333 grams of ice were recovered during the crackdown on narcotics peddlers.
As part of its efforts to enhance security, the Islamabad Police has set up special checking points on the city’s entry and exit points to ensure a more effective security system.
A four-member delegation of doctors, comprising Professor Nadeem Qureshi, Dr. Arif Khan, Dr. Afaq Ahmad, and Dr. Umar Farooq, visited the affected areas to provide medical assistance.
In related news, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Salman Akram Raja announced that he would submit his resignation after meeting with PTI Chairman Imran Khan. The Sindh High Court ordered the release of a suspect involved in smuggling over 300 kilograms of opium.

According to sources, the administration and security agencies have been instructed to make preparations to tackle any potential situation.
