The statement noted that possible US attacks could target key energy installations and communication companies in the region, especially those with US interests.
US President Donald Trump had previously threatened Iran, stating that the next targets could be bridges and then nuclear facilities. Trump claimed that the US military had not yet targeted what was left of Iran’s military, but that the next target would be bridges, followed by nuclear facilities.
Iran’s ambassador to South Africa posted a statement on social media, saying, “The regime change has been successful, and the US has become great.” The statement was accompanied by a meme of Trump.
Iran’s military spokesperson, Brigadier General Hossein Salami, stated that Iran will have full control over its airspace. Reportedly, Hamedeh Suleimani and her daughter were arrested after their green cards were revoked.
