Bengaluru, India – In a tragic incident, a 35-year-old woman, Shashma, allegedly took her own life after a prolonged domestic dispute with her mother-in-law, Kalpana, turned deadly. The incident occurred when Shashma, a former IT employee, was constantly at odds with her mother-in-law over household chores, particularly cooking. According to police reports, Shashma’s family alleged that Kalpana refused to let Shashma cook and prepare her favorite meals, and even mentally harassed her on various occasions.
This incident comes just a week after three young sisters in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, allegedly jumped to their deaths from the 9th floor of their apartment building after their parents banned them from playing online games. However, recent investigations have revealed alarming findings.
In a statement to the police, Shashma’s family claimed that their daughter had been under immense mental pressure for a long time. Following the incident, the police have filed a case and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Shashma’s death.
“We are gathering evidence and recording the statements of family members,” said a police official. “The post-mortem report and further investigations will reveal the actual cause of the incident.”
