Peshawar witnessed a devastating bomb blast on Tuesday, prompting security forces to launch a search operation in the area. According to the police, the blast occurred outside the rented quarter of the retired DIG, Faisal Din. Fortunately, there were no reported casualties in the explosion, and the police are still on the lookout for the perpetrators.
The blast has sparked a heated debate between the government and the opposition parties. PTI leader, Talal Chaudhry, claimed that the PTI is now showing sympathy, citing the failure of the 8th February protest. In response, Rana Sanaullah, the Interior Minister, stated that the PTI chief is receiving special treatment and is being provided with all possible facilities.
The opposition leader, Raja Nasir Abbas, emphasized the need for unity among the opposition parties, stating that they should come together and confront the government. He added that they are aware of the real culprit behind the blast and will question the government about it.
In other news, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has reiterated its commitment to ensuring the implementation of the fee capping policy in medical and dental colleges across the country. The council has vowed to take strict action against institutions that fail to comply with this policy.
