The controversy surrounding PTI founder Imran Khan’s health has taken a new turn, with advocate Salman Safdar clarifying his previous statement after meeting with the former premier in jail. Safdar stated that he did not provide any information about Khan’s health, and any interpretation of his words as “okay” was incorrect. He said that he had reported everything he saw and experienced during the meeting in his report submitted to the Supreme Court.
Safdar, Khan’s lawyer, claimed that he met the former premier as per the court’s order, examined the jail cell, but did not inform PTI Secretary-General Salman Akram Raja or Khan’s sister Alima Khan about Khan’s health. He also stated that no one took offense to his position.
This development comes after Safdar’s statement on Monday that Khan was “okay” sparked controversy. Safdar later clarified that he had reported everything in his Supreme Court report. The report is a crucial piece of evidence in the case against Khan, who is being held in Adiala Jail.
