A daring move by mobs in Karachi’s Korangi area has claimed the life of a dacoit, allegedly involved in a series of robberies. According to police reports, two robbers were fleeing with loot after targeting civilians when locals caught one of them and inflicted severe injuries. The incident highlights the growing concerns over law and order in the city, as a gang of robbers struck in the Behrabad area, making off with 200 tolas of gold and $100,000.
In a separate incident, a fatal car accident occurred in the Steel Mill area of Korangi, leaving one person dead and another injured. Senator Pervez Rashid of the ruling PML-N party has come out in support of the mobs, stating that those who sow the wind should reap the whirlwind.
