Dallas: PTI USA Announces Protest Calling for Release of Imran Khan and Political Prisoners

Dallas: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) USA’s Dallas chapter has announced a protest calling for the release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and other political prisoners, citing alleged human rights violations in Pakistan and controversies surrounding the 2024 general elections.
According to an event poster circulated by the organizers, the protest is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 7, at 11:30 a.m. at Signature Kabab in Plano, Texas. A brunch gathering for participants has also been arranged at the venue.

Former Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly Asad Qaiser and former Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri are expected to attend the protest as guest speakers. The event will be hosted by PTI North America Coordinator Nadeem Zaman, along with Waqar Khan.
The organizing committee includes Lubna Khan, coordinator of PTI DFW, along with Nosheen Ahmed, Hassan Siddiqui, Seema Malik, Dr. Sarfaraz Khan, Ikhlas Ahmed, Noman Khan, Sameer Dugga, Anis Ahmed, Naseem Khan, Atif Jamali, Tahir Chaudhry, Dr. Zaim Nawaz, Abbas Khan, and Iqbal Hassan.
Speaking about the purpose of the protest, PTI USA Coordinator Nadeem Zaman said the demonstration aims to draw the attention of the international community to the situation of political prisoners in Pakistan, alleged violations of human rights, and what the party describes as the theft of the public mandate.
The organizers have appealed to members of the Pakistani community living in the Dallas–Fort Worth area and surrounding regions to participate in the protest on February 7 at 11:30 a.m. in Plano, Texas, and to raise their voices in support of democracy, constitutional rule, and human rights.
