WASHINGTON/NEW DELHI – The United States and India have entered into a significant 10-year defense agreement, signaling a new era of strategic alignment between the two nations. The move is being seen as a cornerstone development for regional security.
US Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, confirmed the pact, describing it as a “cornerstone for regional stability and defense deterrence.”
In a statement released via social media, Hegseth outlined the goals of the agreement. He stated that under this new framework, the U.S. and India will actively “promote defense coordination, information sharing, and technical cooperation” to strengthen their partnership.
