Singer Humera Arshad has heavily criticized Pakistani superstar and actor-singer Fawad Khan over his appointment as a judge on the reality show “Pakistan Idol.”
Speaking in a recent program, Arshad (while appearing to refer to Khan) stated that the show has appointed judges “who have no connection to music.”
She acknowledged that sponsors might be behind such decisions, “but people should accept offers while keeping their own limitations in mind.”
Arshad clarified her stance firmly: “Yes, he can sit there as a celebrity, but to become a judge and make decisions is wrong.” She insisted that such programs require judges who possess a deep and genuine understanding of music.
