After a long gap of seven years, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) is heading to the White House for a crucial visit, where he will hold a special meeting with President Donald Trump on November 18.
While high-level officials from both nations have finalized the program for this historic meeting, the agenda remains strictly confidential. However, US media outlets claim the centerpiece of the discussion will be a new defense pact, which has reportedly already been “informally agreed upon.”
The meeting will also cover military cooperation and intelligence sharing, with the possibility that the two leaders will participate in a signing ceremony for an agreement.
Meanwhile, Israeli media is closely watching the visit, suggesting that the Abraham Accords will also be a key topic. This is the same agreement under which several Arab nations have already normalized relations with Israel.
This speculation is heavily fueled by President Trump’s recent revelation, where he claimed that senior Saudi officials had already agreed to join the accords. Saudi Arabia has neither confirmed nor denied Trump’s claim, though its long-standing public position has always been to refuse normalization until a sovereign Palestinian state is established on pre-occupation borders.
