On Friday, the polio eradication program requested comprehensive data concerning mobile populations from all districts.
According to the details, district authorities are now required to submit information on these populations to the polio program without delay. A meeting was convened, chaired by Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Coordinator Adeel Tasawar, to review the progress of the polio eradication campaign.
Polio officers from 36 districts participated in the meeting via video link. Districts have also been instructed to provide details of migrating populations.
Officials received directives to implement measures aimed at enhancing the performance of polio workers.
Tasawar stated that an analysis would be conducted for those union councils that have demonstrated suboptimal performance in the campaign.
He added that the findings from this analysis must be promptly shared with the polio program.
