This announcement came at a time when Indian Kashmiri–origin promoter Puru Kaul (Dembi Productions) had not only completed promotion for these shows but tickets had already been sold across the U.S. Sources say that, instead of appointing a Pakistani-American promoter as his national promoter this time, Atif Aslam made an Indian promoter his national promoter a man who calls himself “the son of Kashmir” and “a Hindu pandit.” Under their agreement, $400,000 was paid in advance, and concerts were scheduled for major U.S. cities in May and September 2025. Meanwhile, numerous local Pakistani promoters also purchased shows through this same promoter, shows were listed on Ticketmaster, and marketing campaigns ran—only for Atif Aslam to suddenly declare everything fake. The question remains: If it was all fake, where did Puru Kaul obtain the signed contract and proof of payment? And by whose direction were all those advertisements, videos, and concert posters produced?
Atif Aslam’s Statement:
Eighteen hours ago, Atif Aslam shared a post on his official Facebook page in which he informed his North American fans:
• All concerts and shows advertised under his name in North America are currently “fake.”
• These advertisements were published without his permission or knowledge.
• Fans should trust only the programs announced on his official Facebook page (AtifAslamOfficialFanPage).
• He clarified that the existing posters and advertisements are illegal and have no connection to him.
Puru Kaul’s (Dembi Productions) Statement:
In response, his alleged national promoter an Indian-origin Puru Kaul posted on his Facebook page that:
• He has been Atif Aslam’s national promoter since 2020 and has organized over 60 successful international shows.
• He signed a contract with Atif Aslam for shows across the U.S. in May and September 2025.
• Under the agreement, he transferred $400,000 in advance to Atif Aslam, and proof of this payment exists.
• Other local U.S. promoters also purchased shows through him and have received payments according to their contracts.
• Calling Atif Aslam’s “fake” claim false and baseless, he issued an ultimatum to delete the post and apologize within 24 hours, or he will pursue legal action.
• He assured fans that all shows will take place at reputable venues and tickets are being issued through Ticketmaster.

Despite Puru Kaul’s assertions, Atif Aslam’s official post has branded all announced North American shows as “fake” and urged fans to rely solely on his official page announcements. Puru Kaul has accused Atif Aslam of making “false claims” and threatened legal action, while Atif Aslam’s spokesperson has not issued any formal response.
A sensitive aspect of this dispute is that by favoring an Indian promoter, Atif Aslam not only caused financial losses to Pakistani promoters but also ignited a cultural and diplomatic controversy against the backdrop of strained Pakistan-India relations. Observers believe Atif Aslam may have made this sudden U-turn under political pressure or criticism, in order to preserve his “patriotic” image.
Meanwhile, Pakistani promoters in the U.S. are not silent. Reports indicate they are preparing legal action to recover their losses. Several are in contact with U.S. attorneys to file lawsuits against both Puru Kaul and Atif Aslam’s “allegedly false” statement. It remains unclear which way a court will rule, but it is certain that Atif Aslam’s “fake concerts” declaration is not as simple as it seems the real game is something else, and many Indian and Pakistani promoters have been politically and financially squeezed in the process.
Advice to Fans:
Both parties are urging fans not to trust unofficial announcements. Atif Aslam directs fans to wait for updates on his official page (AtifAslamOfficialFanPage), while Puru Kaul shares Ticketmaster links. No resolution has been reached yet, and this matter may go to court. Further updates are awaited.
Fans are advised to monitor Atif Aslam’s official page and Ticketmaster for the latest developments.
Please note that for many years, the Indian film industry and the RSS have targeted several Pakistani-origin promoters residing in the United States. At the top of this list is Houston-based national promoter Dr. Rehan Siddiqui, who has been blacklisted solely for being Pakistani-American. Meanwhile, some Pakistani singers performing for Bollywood films have continued to entrust business opportunities in the U.S. to promoters of Indian origin.
