Amidst her ongoing legal dispute with Justin Baldoni, Blake Lively is “looking for sunshine.”
The 37-year-old actress took to Instagram Stories to share a picture of flowers on a tree branch adorned with water droplets.
“It never hurts to keep looking for sunshine,” she added, attributing the quote to Winnie the Pooh’s character, Eeyore. She also included a sticker of the melancholic donkey and an animated “April” sticker.
She set the photo to the tune of “Little April Shower” from the 1942 animated film Bambi.
This cryptic post emerges as her lawsuit with her It Ends With Us costar and director Justin Baldoni continues to escalate in the lead-up to their trial scheduled for March 2026.
Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, 48, recently both filed motions to dismiss Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit, citing a California law that prohibits retaliation related to public disclosures of sexual harassment.
Meanwhile, Baldoni’s attorneys have urged the judge to deny the couple’s motion to dismiss, arguing that it is “abhorrent” for Lively to “dismiss herself from the self-created disaster she initiated.”
It is worth noting that legal expert Gregory Doll, who is not involved in representing either Lively or Baldoni, told People Magazine in December that a settlement is likely to occur before March 2026.
“It’s very nasty, and I think it’s going to get nastier,” he further commented, according to the publication.
