Preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy have reached their peak with the beautiful decoration of Gaddafi Stadium and the completion of the installation of modern seating.
The stadium, upgraded with state-of-the-art facilities in just four months, is set to be inaugurated in the first week of February.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi visited the stadium to inspect the renovations. He met with workers, congratulated them on their efforts, and invited them to watch the upcoming Tri-Nation Series match on February 8, promising to sit with them and enjoy the game.
During his visit, Naqvi toured the newly constructed dressing rooms, hospitality boxes, and other areas, praising the significant progress made. He expressed confidence that this state-of-the-art stadium, the first of its kind in Pakistan, will greatly enhance the experience for both players and fans alike.
“The Champions Trophy is a matter of pride for Pakistan, and we will further elevate that pride,” Naqvi said. The project, executed in collaboration with FWO, NESPAK, and other stakeholders, was completed with remarkable speed, thanks to the hard work of the entire team.
Interior Minister, Advisor Aamir Mir, Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed, and other officials were present during the visit.
